How AI tools save time, reduce errors, and make your project run smoother

My Kelley Construction — Powered by My Kelley Construction AI

How we use AI: Our AI tools generate drafts — estimates, material lists, and project data. Brian Kelley personally reviews and adjusts everything before it reaches you. AI assists; a 23-year veteran makes the final call.

What This Means for Your Project

You don't need to understand AI to benefit from it. Here's what our tools do for you in plain English:

Faster Estimates

Send us photos, measurements, or descriptions and our AI generates a draft quote in minutes instead of days. Brian reviews and refines it before you see it.

Automatic Material Counts

We extract material quantities directly from your plans, blueprints, or even photographs. No manual measuring delays your bid.

Instant Material List Import

Email or photograph a material list from Home Depot, a supplier quote, or your own spreadsheet — we digitize it automatically into our project system.

Ask Questions About Your Project

Ask things like "When does drywall start?" or "What's the remaining budget for flooring?" and get answers pulled from live project data.

How to Send Us Your Project Info

We accept project information through multiple channels — use whatever is easiest for you:

1

Photos (Fastest)

Text/MMS photos of the rooms, areas, or existing conditions. Good lighting and a wide angle help. Include a tape measure or 2×4 for scale if possible.

2

Email / PDF

Email plans, contractor quotes, or scanned documents to us. Our AI reads PDFs, including scanned handwritten notes.

3

CAD / BIM / Blueprints

If you have professional plans (Revit, AutoCAD DWG, IFC, PDF blueprints), we can extract exact quantities from them automatically.

4

Hand Sketches

Hand-drawn sketches are fine too. Snap a photo and we can digitize them.

Tip: The more info you send upfront, the faster and more accurate your estimate. Room dimensions, material preferences, and budget range are all helpful.

From Your Photos to Your Estimate

Here's exactly what happens when you send us project information:

1
You send photos, text, or files
Via text message, email, or the website form.
2
AI drafts quantities and costs
Our system analyzes your input and creates an itemized draft estimate using current Idaho market rates.
3
Brian reviews and adjusts
Brian Kelley personally reviews the AI draft, adjusts based on 23 years of experience, and checks real-world feasibility.
4
You receive a finalized estimate
A clear, professional estimate with line-item detail you can review, question, or approve.
Human oversight is built in. AI generates the draft. A licensed general contractor with 23 years of experience finalizes it. You never receive an unchecked AI estimate.

The AI Team Behind Your Project

Our ERP includes specialized AI assistants, each focused on a different part of the construction process:

The Quantity Surveyor

Measures plans and builds your materials list. Reads CAD files, PDFs, and photographs to extract counts, dimensions, and areas. Drafts a structured Bill of Quantities (BOQ) ready for pricing.

The Price Analyst

Checks current Idaho market rates so pricing is competitive. Cross-references 55,000+ cost items across regional databases to ensure your estimate reflects real-world costs, not outdated numbers.

The Document Clerk

Converts your photos, supplier quotes, and spreadsheets into structured project data. Handles Home Depot material lists, contractor invoices, and change orders.

The Project Advisor

Answers questions about your project in plain English. Ask about budget status, schedule, materials, or next steps — it pulls answers from live project data.

Example Questions You Can Ask

Once your project is in our system, you can ask questions like:

Response time: AI answers instantly. Any actions requiring approval (change orders, budget adjustments) need human follow-up from Brian.

Common Questions

"The AI missed part of my plan."

Circle the missed area in the photo and re-send. The takeoff will update to include it.

"The estimate seems too high/low."

Reply with your concern. Brian will review the specific line items and adjust. AI provides the starting point; your feedback improves the final number.

"I'm not comfortable with technology."

That's fine. You can call Brian directly, text photos from your phone, or email. The AI works behind the scenes — you interact with Brian like any other contractor.

"Can I skip the AI and just talk to Brian?"

Absolutely. Call or text anytime. The AI tools help Brian serve you faster, but they never replace the personal relationship.
